5 cups flour
2 cups sugar
6 teaspoons baking powder
6 eggs
½ lb. melted butter
1 tablespoon anise oil
Toasted chopped almonds
Beat eggs well. Add sugar melted butter and anise.
In a large bowl put in all dry ingredients, mix well. Make a well and add wet ingredients. Mix well with your hands.
Dough will be soft. If too soft add more flour.
Roll in long logs.
Bake @ 350° about 20 minutes
Let cool and slice on diagonal and bake about another 15-20 minutes.
