Ray's Favorite Balsamic Stir Fry
Take sirloin to the Asian side!
ingredients
- 2 cups Brown Rice, cooked
- 1 lb Sirloin Steak, cut into thin strips
- 1/2 cup Balsamic Vinegar (or favorite prepared dressing)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbl Cornstarch
- 5 cups prep’d fresh veggies (sweet peppers, broccoli, green onions)
- 2 Tbl Soy Sauce (get the good stuff!)
- 1 Tsp Ground Ginger
- 1/4 cup Dry Roasted Peanuts, chopped
directions
- 1
Toss the steak with 1 Tbl of the balsamic, add cornstarch and mix well. Heat a large skillet and stir fry the meat until it is cooked through. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.
- 2
Add the veggies to the skillet along with the soy sauce and ginger and balsamic. Stir fry until the veggies are tender - you may want to stage them from hardest to softest to prevent overcooking.
- 3
Return the steak to the pan and reheat it. Sauce should thicken.
- 4
Serve over rice, topped with chopped nuts.
notes
You can also just put the cornstarch in the balsamic, not on the meat itself.
