Ray's Favorite Balsamic Stir Fry

Take sirloin to the Asian side!

  • 2 cups Brown Rice, cooked

  • 1 lb Sirloin Steak, cut into thin strips

  • ½ cup Balsamic Vinegar (or favorite prepared dressing)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 Tbl Cornstarch

  • 5 cups prep’d fresh veggies (sweet peppers, broccoli, green onions)

  • 2 Tbl Soy Sauce (get the good stuff!)

  • 1 Tsp Ground Ginger

  • ¼ cup Dry Roasted Peanuts, chopped

  • Toss the steak with 1 Tbl of the balsamic, add cornstarch and mix well. Heat a large skillet and stir fry the meat until it is cooked through. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.

  • Add the veggies to the skillet along with the soy sauce and ginger and balsamic. Stir fry until the veggies are tender - you may want to stage them from hardest to softest to prevent overcooking.

  • Return the steak to the pan and reheat it. Sauce should thicken.

  • Serve over rice, topped with chopped nuts.

PREP TIME: 20 min

TOTAL TIME: 30 min

notes:

You can also just put the cornstarch in the balsamic, not on the meat itself.
