Restaurant-Style Hummus
You’ll never buy hummus from the store again!
ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 6 tablespoons sesame Tahini
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup water
- juice of one lemon
- 1 small garlic clove, minced

In the bowl of a food processor, combine chickpeas, salt and cumin. Process for one minute.

Add Tahini and olive oil to the bowl and process for another minute.

Add lemon juice, water, and garlic to the bowl and process for one minute.

The hummus should now be smooth and creamy with a thick, paste-like consistency. If desired, you can add another one to two tablespoons of water and process for another 30 seconds to thin the consistency of the hummus.

Transfer the hummus to a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour.
