Goulash Soup
A cold weather staple, this soup is even better the next day. Freezes well.
ingredients
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 pounds lean stew meat
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 teaspoon Hungarian paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
- 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 small can tomato paste
- 40 ounces beef broth
- 4 small potatoes, peeled and finely diced
