Artichoke Bread

Even people who don’t like artichokes will enjoy this delicious crusty bread. The soft interior is rich with sour cream and three kinds of cheese.

  • Preheat oven to 350°.

  • Hollow out the loaf of bread, leaving a ½" shell, and save the bread pieces.

  • In the microwave, melt margarine in a very large bowl; add sesame seeds, and garlic salt to taste. Stir in artichoke hearts, Monterey Jack cheese, and Parmesan cheese. Add bread pieces and sour cream and combine thoroughly.

  • Pour the combined mixture into the prepared bread shell. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted. Slice and serve warm.

Sue is a former member of my bridge group and one of the nicest women I've ever met. She's a fabulous cook who now lives in Arkansas. I visited her there in 2006 and again in 2008.
