From: Mom This is the first time I’ve tried to turn my “scoop and dump” method into a recipe.
Noodles:
approx. 2 cups of flour
3-4 eggs
3 Tbsp water
dash of salt
Soup:
1 whole chicken
1 onion - chopped or sliced
1 Tbsp parsley flakes
small amount of catsup (2 Tbsp?)
1 can cream of chicken soup
Making Noodles:
Beat the wet ingredients together, then add the flour a little at a time until it form a dough.
Roll out flat (⅛“-¼”) onto a floured board, cut into noodles, and then set aside until stock is boiling.
Stock:
Boil chicken & onion until meat falls off bones.
Remove chicken from stock.
Remove skin, fat, and bones.
Shred or chop meat, and return it to stock.
Bring meat & stock to a boil and add homemade noodles, cream of chicken, and catsup (and any additional flavorings you want). Cook until noodles are done (a few minutes).
