Banana Bread

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon soda

  • Pinch of salt

  • 3 bananas (1½ cups)

  • ¾ cup shortening

  • 1½ cups sugar

  • ½ cup sour milk (add 1 teaspoon vinegar to milk to make sour)

  • 2 eggs

  • Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and mix. Add dry ingredients. Alternate dry ingredients with the sour milk.

  • Pour batter into 1 large greased loaf pan.

  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour
