Saturday Night Barbecue Chicken

This recipe is for use in the oven or on a charcoal grill; charcoal grill is best, I prefer a grill with a hood.

  • 2 chickens, cut in half
  • 2 T. white vinegar
  • 2 T. lemon juice
  • 2 T. margarine
  • 2 T. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 T. prepared mustard
  • 2 T. garlic salt
  • Tabasco to taste
  • Pepper to taste

    Grill chicken until done before applying sauce. Turn pieces frequently to avoid burning. I like to close the dampers all the way for the last few applications of sauce. If you are on a diet, don’t eat the skin. Sauce may be applied during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
