Grandma Lavon's Meatballs

For a dash of something extra, add 2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce to meatballs. If you’d like BBQ meatballs instead of Italian style, substitute BBQ sauce for cans of tomato soup.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain bread crumbs
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 small chopped onions
  • 4 Tbs grated cheddar cheese
  • 4 Tbs chopped celery
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cans tomato soup

Pre-heat oven to 300 degrees. Mix ingredients together with hands, do not overmix. Form into balls, whatever size you prefer. Brown in a large skillet, do not cook through. Once browned, add to a large dutch oven or oven safe baking dish. Put 2 cans of tomato soup and two cans of water over meatballs. Place in the oven and cook at 300 degrees for 1 hour.
