Sour Cream Pound Cake (Mom's Version)
Kaki (and/or Esther) made one of these every single time we went to her house. She even let us have it for breakfast, toasted, with butter. This is mom’s version of the recipe.
ingredients
- 3 cups of cake flour (sifted twice)
- 1 cup of butter (I prefer salted)
- 1/4 t baking soda
- 1/2 pint sour cream
- 3 cups sugar
- 1/2 t salt
- 6 eggs, separated
- 1 t vanilla
