Heavenly Lime Salad

I have always called this The Green Stuff, but I do think it is truly heavenly. It was Kaki’s recipe, and was on her table at every holiday meal. (Or when she was craving it.)

ingredients

1 3oz pkg Lime Jell-o
1 cup boiling water
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 3oz pkg cream cheese
1 8oz can crushed pineapple
1 cup chopped pecans
1 pkg Dream Whip
1/2 cup cold milk (or 1/2 pint of whipping cream)

directions

Dissolve Jell-o in boiling water. Melt marshmallows in Jell-o mix. Place cream cheese in small bowl and pour small amount of Jell-o over cheese and mix with hand mixer until smooth. Add cheese mix to Jell-o, and blend until smooth. Drain juice from pineapple, add water to make 1 cup. Stir into Jell-o mix. Fold in pineapple and nuts and chill until it begins to thicken. Fix Dream Whip according to package directions, add to Jell-o, and blend with mixer. Pour into lightly oiled mold and chill until set.
