  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups quick rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups softened butter
  • 1 cup caramel topping
  • 3 Tb flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Mix on low speed until crumbly. Reserve half of crumps (about 3 cups) for topping. Press the rest into a greased 13“ by 9” pan. Bake for 18-22 minutes.

    In a small bowl combine topping and flour.

    Remove partially baked base from the oven, sprinkle with chips and nuts. Drizzle topping mixture evenly over top and sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.

    Continue baking for total time of 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 hour or until filling is set.

    Cut into 36 bars.
