Cabbage Meat Soup

This might not sound like a soup you would want to make, but its amazing! And i’m pretty sure Eitan likes it.

  • 1/2 bag frozen onions (or i regular onion chopped)
  • 3 strips flanken
  • 3-5 marrow bones
  • 2 bags shredded cabbage
  • 2-24 oz cans tomato sauce
  • 3/4 C. brown sugar
  • 1C. honey
  • 2 bottles borsht
  • Salt and pepper
  • Splash of white vinegar


Saute onions in oil, add all the liquid ingredients, add the flanken, bones and cabbage. Cook for 2 1/2 hours.
