Mom's Sweet n' Sour Green Beans
This is a perfect balance between the yin and the yang of taste.
ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 cup finely diced onions
- 2 cans (15 oz) cut green beans- undrained
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- dash pepper
directions
Partially cook bacon in 1/2 inch pieces – add onion – sauté until onion is lightly brown. Drain beans and add liquid to bacon and onion. Cook until liquid is reduced to 1/2 c. Add beans & remaining ingredients. Heat thoroughly.

This would be a good pot luck dish because it goes with so many main dishes.
