Joel's Hamburgers
ingredients
- 1 lb. of ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 2 Tablespoons Open Pit BBQ sauce (or other brand)
- 1/3-cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1/3-cup onions (finely chopped)
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (substitute soy sauce)
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes

In a mixing bowl combine egg and barbecue sauce.

Stir in breadcrumbs, chopped onions, Worcestershire or soy sauce, and parsley flakes.

Add ground beef (or turkey)

Combine well with hands. Do not over-work meat.

Shape the meat mixture into four 3/4” thick patties.

Spray gas or charcoal grill (or George Foreman grill) with Pam spray to prevent sticking, especially if using ground Turkey.

Grill patties on an uncovered grill (or George Foreman grill).

Turn and grill to desired doneness.

NOTE: Ground turkey must be cooked to well done.

Brush with BBQ sauce the last 5 minutes of grilling, if desired.

Serve patties on hamburger buns.
