This cake is great for any parties you ever have. My brother and some of his friends created this while they were in college. Where else would a cake like this be created.

Ingredients

  • Cake Batter Ingredients:
  • 1 (18 oz) pkg orange cake mix (lemon will also work)
  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup tequila
  • 2 tbsp triple sec liqueur
  • Glaze Ingredients:
  • 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tbsp tequila
  • 2 tbsp triple sec liqueur
  • 2 tbsp lime juice

    Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan (or spray with pam)

    In a large bowl combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, oil, water, lemon juice 1/4 cup tequila and 2 tbsp triple sec. Beat for 2 minutes.

    Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 min, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

    Cool in pan for 10 min; remove to rack and pour glaze over cake while still warm.

    For the glaze; In a small bowl, combine confectioners’ sugar with 1 tbsp tequila, 2 tbsp triple sec and 2 tbsp lime juice. Mix until smooth.
