Baked Pie Pumpkin Puree

KatieKatie Johnson

You can purchase the sweet little pie pumpkins to make homemade baby puree. One pie pumpkin will yield about 2 to 3 cups of fresh pumpkin puree (1 to 2 ice cube trays). Using fresh pumpkin allows you to freeze any leftovers, a great perk in exchange for labor. This way, you can extend the pumpkin season well beyond the fall and winter months!

ingredients

  • 1 pie pumpkin
  • 2-3 tablespoons of water (for thinning)
