Golden Persian Rice
ingredients
- Basmati rice, 3 cups (Try Pari brand)
- Butter, 3 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil, 3 tablespoons (don’t substitute with Olive Oil)
- Plain yogurt, 1/2 cup (optional)
- Saffron, 2 teaspoons, finely ground with a little ground sugar (make sure it’s not the cheaper Spanish variety)
- Turmeric, 1 teaspoon
- Salt, about 4 teaspoons
