Howard Wong’s Casserole or Betty’s Chow Mein Hot Dish -- the latter differs by not mixing in the noodles but serving the casserole on top of the noodles. And adding cashews as a garnish.
ingredients
- 1 can Cream of Celery Soup
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
- 1 can Chicken Gumbo Soup
- 1 can Vegetarian Vegetable Soup
- 1 can sliced mushrooms
- 1 can water chestnuts
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 3 cups chow mein noodles
- 2 cans french fried onion rings
