Mashed Sweet Potatoes
Sweet, creamy and delicious. Top with a pat of butter.
ingredients
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and quartered (approx. 2-3 potatoes)
- pinch ground black pepper
directions

1. Combine butter, cream, salt, sugar and sweet potatoes in 3-4 quart saucepan; cook, covered, over low heat, stirring occasionally, until potatoes fall apart when poked with fork, 35-45 minutes.

2. Off heat, mash sweet potatoes in saucepan with potato masher. Stir in pepper; serve immediately.
