Steamed Tofu with sweetened Soy and oil blanched Scallions
This is a healthy, tasty dish that can be made in a hurry. An ol’ reliable.
ingredients
- Soft Tofu - 1 package
- Scallions - 2 stalks
- Dark Soy saunce - 2 table spoon
- Sugar - half teaspoon
- Canola Oil - 1 table spoon

Steam Tofu on a plate in medium heat for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, finely chop scallions and set aside. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce with sugar until sugar is dissolved.

When tofu is ready, remove from heat and carefully pour out excess water from plate, careful not to damage the tofu. Cut tofu into 6 cubes, and pile scallions on top. Heat oil in a metal ladel or small saucepan. Drop a small piece of scallion into the hot oil, if it sizzles, the oil is hot enough. Pour hot oil on scallion and tofu. Pour sweetened soy sauce around tofu and serve.
