Savory Pot Roast
ingredients
- 4-5 pound beef rump roast
- 2 Tablespoons of cooking oil
- 2 Tablespoons of butter
- 1 cup of red wine
- 1 can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
- 8 black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cans(10.5 ounce) beef broth or consumme
- 8 carrots, parred and halved
- 1 sprig parsley
- 2 tablespoons corn starch(to thicken gravy)
