Sgroppino
This is a refreshing summer drink from Venice, Italy. What could be more refreshing on a summer’s day than the tart flavors of lemon? Also makes a delicious after-dinner drink, or a palate cleansing drink between courses!
ingredients
- 2 cups (16 oz) lemon ice cream or gelato, softened (OR Lemon Sorbet plus a few tablespoons of heavy cream)
- 2 Tbsp vodka
- 1/3 cup Italian Prosecco wine, chilled
- Zest of one lemon
- Lemon wedges to garnish
