- 3/4 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 package active dry yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup soft shortening or butter
Dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar, salt, and half of the flour. Beat for two minutes.
Add egg and shortening. Gradually beat in remaining flour.
Drop small spoonfuls over entire bottom of pan. Let rise at 85° for 50-60 minutes.
Heat oven to 375°. Bank for 30-35 minutes. Serve warm.
