  • 2 sticks butter, soft
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 1/2 cups A.P flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 oz melted unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup buttermilk, room temp

    Preheat oven to 350 degees. Grease and flour three 9" pans.

    Cream butter and sugar in large mixing bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, making sure to beat well after each one. Blend in vanilla and chocolate.

    Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Alternate adding dry mix to the wet mix and blend just until mixed. Pour into prepared cake pans; batter will be thick.

    Bake in preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes.

    1 cup sugar

    16 oz frozen coconut

  • 3

    1 cup milk

  • 4

    12 lrg marshmallows

  • 5

    1 tsp vanilla

  • 6

    Whipped chocolate frosting


Boil sugar, milk, & coconut 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Add marshmallows; stir until melted. Add vanilla. Spread between HOT layers (they will absorb moisture).
