Ingredients

  • Basic Cake Recipe:
  • 1 1/2 Cup self rising flour
  • Cup of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 Cup heavy cream
  • Upside Down Topping:
  • 1/2 c butter,
  • 1/2c brown sugar.
  • pineapple slices
  • cherries
  • nuts
  • you can substitute peach or pear for the pineapple.

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    In iron skillet -melt

  • 3

    1/2 c butter,

  • 4

    1/2c brown sugar.

  • 5

    After the sugar misture is well blended place in 5 pineapple slices, cherries, & nuts.

    pour in cake batter carefully.

  • 7

    Bake 350 degrees for 30-50 min. depending on the oven.
