Grandma Francisco's Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Grandma used to make this for Holidays.
ingredients
- Basic Cake Recipe:
- 1 1/2 Cup self rising flour
- Cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 Cup heavy cream
- Upside Down Topping:
- 1/2 c butter,
- 1/2c brown sugar.
- pineapple slices
- cherries
- nuts
- you can substitute peach or pear for the pineapple.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In iron skillet -melt

1/2 c butter,
- 4
1/2c brown sugar.

After the sugar misture is well blended place in 5 pineapple slices, cherries, & nuts.

pour in cake batter carefully.

Bake 350 degrees for 30-50 min. depending on the oven.
