Bread Pudding
The recipe is from the New Orleans School of Cooking.
ingredients
Ingredients for the bread pudding:- 1 - 10 oz. loaf stale French bread, crumbled (or 6-8 cups any type bread)
- 4 cups milk (or part cream de coconut drink mix)
- 2 cup sugar
- 8 tbs. butter, melted
- 3 eggs
- 2 tbs. vanilla
- 2 cup raisins
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tbs. cinnamon
- 1 tbs. nutmeg
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick, 114 lb.)
- 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup bourbon (to taste)
