Bread Pudding

ingredients

Ingredients for the bread pudding:
  • 1 - 10 oz. loaf stale French bread, crumbled (or 6-8 cups any type bread)
  • 4 cups milk (or part cream de coconut drink mix)
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 8 tbs. butter, melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbs. vanilla
  • 2 cup raisins
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tbs. cinnamon
  • 1 tbs. nutmeg
Ingredients for the whisky sauce:
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick, 114 lb.)
  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup bourbon (to taste)
