Filipino sweet bread.

Ingredients

  • yeast mixture:
  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 3 tsp. yeast
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • Milk mixture:
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • additional ingredients:
  • 7-8 cups of flour
  • bread crumbs

    1. Mix the yeast mixture first and let stand for 10 minutes.

    2. scald the milk and mix the second batch of ingredients together. Excluding the flour.

    3. Next add the 7-8 cups of flour. Mix well and let rise. This will take about 1 1/2 hours or until double in size.

    4. Punch and form into a ball.

    5. Let rise again for 2 hours.

    6. Next divide, roll and cut into pieces.

    7. Roll over bread crumbs.

  • 8

    8. Let rise again 1-2 hours.

    9. Bake at preheated oven at 350 degrees.
