Quick Beer Bread
Really fast, savory quick bread great with sharp cheese, stew, and chili.
ingredients
- 1 C Whole wheat flour
- 1 C All purpose flour
- 1/2 C Old-fashioned rolled oats
- 2 T Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 12 oz can beer (1 1/2 C)

Any light or dark beer but stout will do, RT or Cold as long as it isn't flat! Variation: add 1/2 C sharp cheddar cheese (crumbled or finely diced) and 1/4 cup scallions to flour mixture. Also, 2 tsp caraway seeds optional.
