Sam's Chicken Lo Mein Noodles


This recipe was inspired by our local Chicken Lo Mien. I figured it couldn’t be to hard to copy the taste. I don’t know how close I got, but they are really good. Even the kids love it!

  • 2 T. Olive Oil
  • 1 T. Minced garlic
  • 1 T. Minced ginger (fresh)
  • 6 Green onions, chopped
  • 2 Carrots, peeled & julienne
  • 1 cup Sprouts
  • 2 cups Shredded cabbage (optional)
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/4 tsp. Bouillon, chicken
  • 3 T. Soy sauce
  • 2 T. Rice wine vinegar
  • 1 T. heaping Corn Starch
  • 2 T. Dark sesame oil
  • pepper
  • salt, if needed
  • 2 cups Cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
  • 1 lb. linguine or fettuccine, cooked

Heat wok on high. Prep - dissolve corn starch in water, add, soy sauce, vinegar, bouillon, set aside. Add Olive oil and vegetables, quickly saute. Add the water mixture till it slightly thickens. Toss noodles, chicken, and sesame oil and pepper into sauce. Serve.
