Baked Macaroni & Cheese
ingredients
- 2 C Large Elbow Macaroni
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 1/4 C Onion, minced
- 3 tbsp Flour
- 2 1/2 C Milk
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/8 tsp Pepper
- 2 C American Cheese, grated
directions
Prepare macaroni as directed. Drain. In medium size saucepan, melt butter; add onion and cook until tender. Do not brown. Stir in flour and cook one minute. Add milk, salt and pepper. Bring to boil; remove from heat. Add cheese, stir until melted. Combine cheese sauce and macaroni; pour into a 3 quart baking dish. Bake in a 350° oven for 30 minutes.
