Gourmet Bean Soup

ingredients

  • 1 lbs 16 Bean Soup
  • 1 Large Onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 Stalks of Celery
  • 1 tbsp Diced Ortega Green Chiles
  • 3 tbsp BBQ Sauce
  • 1 28 oz. Can Tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Clove Garlic, pressed
  • 1/4 tsp Ginger
  • 1/4 tsp Lemon Pepper

directions

Soak beans overnight. Drain and return to pot with 8 cups of water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 1 hour. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Cut back heat to a simmer. Add 2 cups water after simmering for a while, if desired. Stir occasionally.
