Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Spread
This appetizer is always a favorite whether afloat or afoot and goes quick when served.
ingredients
- 1 C cream cheese
- 1 tbsp capers, drained
- 1/2 tsp dried dill
- 1/3 C smoked salmon, crumbled
- 1/4 tsp black pepper, ground
- 1/4 tsp lemon juice
directions
Mix cream cheese with smoked salmon. Gently add remaining ingredients. Being careful not to over mix. Serve on top of toasted French bread rounds or crackers.
notes
As a variation you can steam whole baby red potatoes, then cut in half & top each half with a dollop of the spread. If there are any left overs, mash all together for a great potato salad. Photo note: Josef with a nice Coho caught in Fife Sound, BC.
