Steves Teriyaki Chicken Wings
One of my close friends is a scuba instructor from Port McNeill on the north end of Vancouver Island in British Columbia. He said he invented this recipe while waiting for his first daughter to be born. Baking the sauce in with chicken wings for so long makes for a very sticky, spicy sauce. It’s wonderful.
ingredients
- 24 chicken wing drummettes or wing pieces
- 1 C brown sugar
- 2 tbsp crushed ginger paste
- 2 tbsp crushed garlic paste
- 3 tbsp Vietnamese Chili sauce (the red chili paste – Sambal Oelek)
- 1/3 C soy sauce
directions
- 1
Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2
Arrange chicken wings in a large baking dish. Mix sauce ingredients well and pour over chicken wings. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Turn chicken wings every 15 minutes.
