Fettucini with Italian SausageKatherine
I think this was the first meal I made for you at my apartment on Camellia.
- 1 Pound Italian Sausage - Links or Bulk
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 3 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
- 1 3/4 Cup Heavy Cream
- 1 Pound Fettucini Pasta, Cooked and Drained
- 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan
- Salt and Pepper
Place oil in saucepan. Turn heat to medium high. Crumble sausage into pan. Stir and cook sausage breaking up any large pieces until cooked through. Remove sausage and set aside. Reduce heat to medium. Put butter in pan. When it is melted but not bubbling, add heavy cream. Cook 4-5 minutes. Add the cooked pasta. Stir gently to coat noodles. Add parmesan. Stir thoroughl. Add salt if needed. Add the cooked sausage. Turn to medium high heat. Add pepper to taste. Cook and stir 2-3 minutes. Transfer to dish and serve immediately.
