Mock pecan pie (or Grape Nuts Pie)

ingredients
- 1/2 c grape nuts
- 1/2 c warm water
- 3 eggs beaten
- 3/4 c sugar
- 1 c dark karo
- 3 T melted butter
- l tsp vanilla
- dash saalt
- l unbaked pie shell

I tried this on a whim and was amazed. Tried it on Daddy the world's authority on pie. Pie in the sky was his favorite saying. He was suitable impressed. Got a better rating than the mock apple pie using Ritz crackers!!
