  • 2 (15-oz) cans slice peaches, in syrup
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
  • 1 cup self rising flour(or use 1
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

    Preheat the oven to 350.

    Drain 1 can of peaches; reserve the syrup from the other can. Place the butter in a 9/13 ovenproof baking dish. Heat the butter in the oven until it’s melted.

    In a medium bowl, mix the flour, sugar, milk and reserved syrup.

    Carefully, remove the baking dish from the oven and pour the batter over the melted butter. Arrange the peaches over the batter and sprinkle 1 tsp of the cinnamon over the peaches.

    Bake for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare topping ingredients using pastry blender to mix together until very crumbly. Remove pan from oven and sprinkle on top of peaches and bake for an additional 30 minutes. The cobbler is done when the crust is thick and golden brown.

    Serve warm with Vanilla Ice Cream.
