Crusties are pizza rolls from Chancey’s in Radford. They were wonderful!
- prep time:
- 10 minutes
- cook time:
- 15-20 minutes
- Pizza dough (even though I like to make my pizza dough from scratch, the Pillsbury pizza dough in the can comes closest to the original crusties)
- Provolone cheese
- Toppings (barbecue chicken is my favorite)
Roll the dough out flat, about the size of a small pizza.
Use about 5 slices of provolone to cover.
Sprinkle with minced garlic.
Then, roll the whole thing up, pretty tightly.
When you get to the end of rolling, add the toppings in....its just that one layer of topping, in the outer layer.
Then cut the roll into 1" thick slices,
The rolls can be made ahead of time and put in the fridge or freezer until ready to bake.
Bake at 350 degrees until done, about 15-20 minutes.
The ranch sauce was just hidden valley ranch mix using cheap mayo.
The only thing missing is the greasy pizza oven.
