Crusties are pizza rolls from Chancey’s in Radford. They were wonderful!

prep time:
10 minutes
cook time:
15-20 minutes

  • Pizza dough (even though I like to make my pizza dough from scratch, the Pillsbury pizza dough in the can comes closest to the original crusties)
  • Provolone cheese
  • Garlic
  • Toppings (barbecue chicken is my favorite)

  • 1

Roll the dough out flat, about the size of a small pizza.

  • 2

Use about 5 slices of provolone to cover.

  • 3

    Sprinkle with minced garlic.

  • 4

Then, roll the whole thing up, pretty tightly.

  • 5

When you get to the end of rolling, add the toppings in....its just that one layer of topping, in the outer layer.

  • 6

Then cut the roll into 1" thick slices,

  • 7

The rolls can be made ahead of time and put in the fridge or freezer until ready to bake.

  • 8

Bake at 350 degrees until done, about 15-20 minutes.

  • 9

The ranch sauce was just hidden valley ranch mix using cheap mayo.

The only thing missing is the greasy pizza oven.
