Pinwheel Appetizer with Cheddar Cheese
Great to serve guests before dinner.
ingredients
- 1 pkg. Pepperidge Farm puff pastry sheets
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1/2 cup locatelli romano cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Approx. 4 tablespoons chopped onion
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 pkgs. chopped spinach, thawed and drained

Thaw pastry sheets at room temperature.(Do not let get too warm, they will be difficult to unfold.)

Line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Preheat oven to 400 deg. Beat egg and water together, set aside. Brush pastry with egg wash. Mix all remaining ingredients and spoon on pastry sheet leaving 1/4 edge around all sides. Roll jelly style. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze for 30 minutes. Remove from freezer, cut in 1/2 inch pinwheels. Place on cookie sheet and bake about 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Can be frozen for weeks if desired
