Chocolate Ribbon Cheesecake
My husbands favorite!
ingredients
- 1 Cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1 Cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 melted butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup baking cocoa
- 24 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1 (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

*Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

*Combine walnuts, crumbs, sugar and 1/4 cup of the butter in bowl; mix well. Press over bottom and 2 inches up side of 9-inch springform pan.

*Combine remaining 1/4 cup butter and cocoa in small bowl; mix well.

*Beat cream cheese in bowl until fluffy. Add condensed milk gradually, beating until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.

*Reserve 1 1/2 cups batter. Add chocolate mixture to remaining batter; mix well. Layer batters 1/2 at a time in prepared pan; swirl with knife.

*Bake for 1 hour and 5 minutes or until set. Let stand for 30 minutes. Loosen side of pan. Let stand until cool.

*Chill for several hours to overnight. Remove rim of pan; place on serving plate. Garnish with whole walnuts and chocolate curls if desired.
