Gingerbread Waffles
This recipe is from Aunt Jean.
ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1/2 cup melted shortening or oil

Mix all ingredients together in large bowl.

Pour onto a lightly oiled waffle iron.

Batter may be made ahead. Store in covered container and bake as needed. Will keep for 5 days in refrigerator.
