Bjerke Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Served at the majority of the Bjerke family holidays
ingredients
- 5 pounds russet or Idaho potatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 16 oz. cream cheese
- 12 oz sour cream
- garlic salt
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- paprika

Peel potatoes and quarter and add to boiling water. Drop the 2 cloves of garlic into water. Drain. In a separate bowl, add the cream cheese and sour cream and blend well.Start adding the potatoes and mash as you continue to add potatoes. Garlic salt and pepper to taste. Place in a baking dish and sprinkle with garlic salt, paprika and dot with butter.

Bake 35- 45 minutes or until golden brown at 350°
