Chicken Pot Pie
ingredients
- 1 box refrigerated pie dough
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 1/2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
- 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables

Heat oven to 425 degrees.

In pie plate or deep baking dish, layer bottom pie crust.

In large saucepan, melt butter.

Add onion and cook 2 minutes.

Stir in flour, salt and pepper.

Gradually stir in broth and milk.

Cook while stirring until bubbly and thick.

Stir in chicken and mixed vegetables.

Spoon into pie crust and top with second crust. Seal edges and cut slits in top.

Bake 30 to 40 minutes until golden brown. Cover with foil last 15 minutes.
