Strawberry Apple Pie

ingredients
- 3-4 thinly sliced, and peeled granny smith apples
- 1 1/4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 3-4 tbsp flour
- Pastry for double crust pie (9 inches)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- whipping cream or vanilla ice cream

notes
If the strawberries aren't fresh tasting, only use 1 cup of the "fresh" strawberries, and 1/4 cup frozen. Also for an interesting looking pie, cut the pastry top into hearts and layer, like in the photo.
