Succulent Creamy Chicken Tikka (Murgh Malai Tikka)
Moist & tasty, made especially delightful with a smoky char-grilled crust.
ingredients
- Marinade
- 2.5 oz yogurt
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 1/2 teaspoon each: turmeric,red chilli,garam masala
- 1 teaspoon fenugreek
- 2 pinches each carom, fennel, cardamon seeds, black pepper (ground together)
- 2 teaspoon each garlic and ginger paste
- 1 Tablespoon cashews, soaked in water 30 min. and ground
- 1 Tablespoon gram flour,
- 1 egg yolk
- salt
- 2 chicken breasts, cubed and pierced

Whisk together marinade, and coat the chicken with it, let sit overnight in the fridge in a non-metal bowl.

Return to room temp.

Preheat oven to 400° or use grill.

Place chicken on skewers or oiled pan, turning.

Cook 6-8 minutes, it should be slightly charred on the edges.

Squeeze on lemon juice.
