Hummus Sinobar
An Arabic favourite
ingredients
- 2 cups chickpeas, drained and rinsed, or soaked if using dried
- 3 tbsp of tahini
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tbsp good quality olive oil
- 3/4 cup pine nuts, lightly toasted
- 1 clove of garlic, crushed
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp of plain yogurt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp water
directions
In a blender or food processor, blend the chickpeas. Add tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and water until the ingredients form a smooth paste-like consistency. Pour the mixture into a large bowl and add remaining ingredients, mixing well. Garnish with paprika, olive oil and pinenuts, cover and refrigerate about an hour.

A friend once added coriander. It tastes divine!
