Sausage Breakfast Casserole
ingredients
- 1 lb sausage
- 8 slices bread
- 2 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dry mustard

Cook sausage over medium heat until done; stirring to crumble meat completely. Drain and set aside.

Cut the crusts off the bread and spread each slice with butter and cut into cubes. Place bread cubes in a 13x9x2-inch greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with sausage; top with cheese. Combine remaining ingredients; beat well and pour over mixture in casserole. Chill at least 8 hours, preferably overnight. Cook 45 to 55 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
