ingredients

  • 3 lbs. cabbage, shredded
  • 1 sweet green pepper and 1 red pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
  • Optional: 1 carrot thinly sliced

    Mix well with:

    1 1/4 cup sugar

    Refrigerate for 2 hours. Do not drain.

    Boil together the following until salt dissolves:

    1 cup oil

    1 1/2 cup white vinegar

    1 tbsp salt

    2 tsp celery seed

    Pour over cabbage mixture while still hot.

    Refrigerate.

    Will keep for a long time in the refrigerator.
