Chicken Soup
ingredients
- 4-5 lb pullet quartered
- 3 stalks celery
- 6 large carrots
- 1 large onion
- 1 large parsnip
- 1/2 bunch parsley
- 1 bunch dill
- 1/2 green pepper
- Salt, pepper, garlic powder
directions
Clean and wash all vegetables. Clean and wash pullet and remove all fat. Bundle parsley and dill and tie with white thread. Bring 1 1/2 qt. water to a rolling boil. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste. Add all vegetables and chicken to pot, cover, lower to simmer and cook for approximately 1-1 1/2 hr. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
notes
Buy a box of matzoh ball mix and follow directions. Easy and delicious.
