Strawberry, Candied Pecan, Bacon, and Feta Cheese Salad

Adaptation of Dove’s Nest Recipe
ingredients
- Whatever kind of lettuce floats your boat(I use a baby spinach spring mix)-2 bags
- One block regular Feta cheese
- One Package Bacon
- 2 Cups halved pecans
- 2 cups sliced strawberries
- Red Wine Vinaigrette

for Candied Walnuts:

1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3
2 tbs. water

1 cup pecans

melt sugar into water, add pecans, stir constantly until water evaporates. Set on cookie sheet to dry.

Fry bacon until crispy, break into pieces, set aside.

crumble cheese.

Combine all ingredients with moderate amount of dressing and toss. When service make sure cheese, bacon, strawberries and nuts are on top.
notes
you can use walnuts instead of pecans, but walnuts will make for a much nuttier tasting salad
